Director of Government Affairs for Farm Policy
Cori Wittman is NAWG’s director of government affairs for farm policy. As such, she leads the organization’s efforts on farm policy, transportation, crop insurance, trade and food aid issues.
Prior to joining NAWG, Cori served as a legislative assistant to Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho, handling agriculture and transportation issues. She also worked with the U.S. Grains Council and the American Farm Bureau Federation handling biotechnology and trade issues. Her tenure with NAWG began in January 2009.
Cori has earned undergraduate degrees in business and Spanish and a minor in agricultural economics from the University of Idaho and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in agribusiness from Kansas State University. She originally hails from a crop, cattle and timber operation in northern Idaho.
