Karl is a third-generation farmer in Klamath Falls, Ore. In addition to being a NAWG officer, he currently serves on the BNSF Ag Rail Advisory Council, the Klamath County Natural Resource Advisory Committee and on the Board of Oregonians for Food and Shelter.

In the past, Karl has served on NAWG’s Environmental and Budget Committees and in a variety of capacities with the Oregon Wheat Grower’s League, including as OWGL’s president in 2004.

Karl attended Oregon State University and earned a degree in agricultural business management. He was a participant in the Wheat Industry Leaders of Tomorrow (WILOT) program in 2002.

Karl’s wife, Brenda, works as a charge nurse at their local hospital. Though Brenda’s two daughters are grown and live away from home, the Scronces have two dogs and four cats. The Scronces also have two grandchildren.
