Caitlin K. Eannello is NAWG’s Director of Communications, where she leads the communications operations for the organization.
Prior to joining NAWG in April 2017, Eannello worked for more than seven years at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), serving the final three years as a Manager of Communications. There she managed media relations for the Food and Agriculture and Industrial and Environmental member companies. Eannello covered several issues relating to agriculture and industrial biotechnology, including gene editing, renewable energy, biobased products, animal biotechnology, and Farm Bill re-authorization.
For BIO, she also managed communication efforts around Food and Agriculture and Industrial and Environmental Section events, which included building interest and event coverage among media from mainstream, trade, and science publications.
In May 2009, Eannello received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice degrees from the University of Delaware in Newark, D.E.
Eannello enjoys spending time with her husband Joe and their dog Hershel. They live in Kensington, M.D.
