NAWG Hires Oakes as Director of Operations

The National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG) announces the addition of Brian A. Oakes as the Director of Operations to the wheat growers’ team. Oakes will assist in office management and coordination, and will work closely with the policy team to execute Wheat Policy strategy.

“Brian’s proven hard work will be a great addition to the NAWG office and the Wheat Industry. We are pleased to have Brian helping us to better serve the day-to-day needs of our wheat growers,” said NAWG CEO Jim Palmer.

Oakes was most recently a communications intern with FLM+ Public Affairs where he worked directly with Washington, D.C., based clients. Oakes also served as an intern for Representative Ken Calvert (CA-42) and worked for Governor Romney’s campaign in 2012. Oakes received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science/International Relations from the University of California San Diego.
