Robust federal funding for agricultural research is widely supported by Members of Congress, stakeholders like wheat farmers and the wider agriculture industry that relies on a strong U.S. farm economy.
Within the wheat industry, NAWG and the National Wheat Improvement Committee (NWIC) are the chief advocates and educators on agriculture research issues.
The National Coalition for Food and Agriculture Research, commonly known as NC-FAR, is a group seeking to demonstrate the importance of federal research investments, with the long-term goal of doubling public investment at the federal level in food and agricultural research, extension and education.
CAST, or the Center for Agricultural Science and Technology, focuses on assembling and disseminating science-based research related to food, agricultrue and environmental issues.
