State Wheat Commissions

Much of the wheat research done around the United States is funded by state wheat commissions, which manage checkoff dollars for wheat growers in their areas.

These organizations typically work in close partnership with their land-grand universities, which often also receive federal or state funding.

Farmers contribute an estimated $12 million annually to wheat research projects through checkoff dollars.

A list of state wheat commissions is available here on the U.S. Wheat Associates website.
