Important Information About WheatPAC
The National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG) supports the operation of the wheat industry’s Political Action Committee (“WheatPAC”) as authorized by, and in accordance with, federal law. Under applicable law, participation in NAWG’s WheatPAC is limited to only members of NAWG and members of NAWG’s affiliated state associations. WheatPAC funds are used to make contributions to candidates for federal office. Under applicable law, the amounts that may be contributed to and by a PAC are limited, and steps must be taken to ensure that member contributions to the PAC are strictly voluntary and without coercion. The PAC Treasurer, with input from the NAWG Board of Directors, decides what federal candidates merit consideration for contributions. Federal law prohibits the WheatPAC from soliciting donations from anyone other than members of NAWG or members of NAWG’s affiliated state associations. Any contribution received from any other person will be returned to the donor.
